‘Rino’, Salvatore De Donatis, has been working and interpreting different styles in the darkroom since the early 1980s.
A degree in Architecture and a passion for photography since his university days has led him to become a professional
black-and-white printer.
That’s how Fotomorgana got its start.
He has collaborated with many artists, including Fosco Maraini, David Lees
and Enzo Sellerio.
In 2007 his activity expanded to teaching the Darkroom Lab course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, Italy.
On February 2014 Florence's Chamber of Commerce,
conferred him the title of
"Tuscan Master Craftsman".
